When I delete the history and the delete files and
cookies, some addresses don't go away. Example: I can
type in the first letter in the address field and the
urls still show. And I also see software I use or search
words I have typed.

Is there a way to delete all of that?

Rruce,
These are coming from the index.dat file in the History folder.
Free History Eraser from
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/free-history-eraser.htm will delete the
History folder (and the index.dat file) and a new one will be created when
you restart.
Or the History folder can be deleted manually:
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm

Additional advice:
You might (or might not) want to turn off Autocomplete (inline) from Tools>
Options> Advanced and/or Options. Content> Autocomplete.

Hope this helps,
Don

-----Your searching in the wrong place. It's called
AutoComplete. Uncheck the box on your internet tools menu
and it won't do that anymore.
