Delete a protected section

Dear Gurus:

Within a document I have a section that is protected for *filling in forms*.
However, while that section remains protected, would it be possible to
delete the same protected section should the user decide the section was no
longer needed within the document?

Thanking you in advance, I remain…

Very truly yours – Rod

Rod,

It can probably done very easily using a simple macro (provided the document
was set up correctly), but the first thing that the macro would do is
unprotect the document. However, the macro could also be designed to
re-protect the document afterwards. And while the macro was running, the user
would be prevented from accessing the document, so the net effect would be
the same. Plus it would be very quick, which would also limit access to the
document while it was unprotected.

If you post a question in the 'Programming' newsgroup, someone could
probably give you an idea of how the macro could be designed.

First of all my apologies for a couple of things; 1) for posting the
identical question twice - I had received a "posting error" the first time,
so I posted again; 2) for taking so long to thank you all for your timely
responses. For some reason, I didn't get a notification of replies as I
generally do, so was unaware of your responses.

I am going to check out the suggestions offered and wanted to thank you all
very much for your assistance in this and in any future regard.

Rod
