On Windows 2000 XP I cannot delete an icon of a printer. The printer,
anEpson 820 is not the active printer and the icon I want to delete is a
copy of Epson 820. I go to controls, view printers and attempt to delete by
highlighting the printer, right clicking the mouse and choosing delete. I
also tried highlighting the icon and chose delte printer from the menu bar.
Neither of these attemps worked. I've tried restarting and performing the
same prodedure. The icon will not delete. It alson shows up in the menu bar
at the bottom of the page. Three icons appear, The Epson 820 the 820 copy and
the 300 series Epson which is my active printer. Can anyone suggest a way of
getting rid of this pest. Thanks

make sure there are no print jobs associated with the printer. Open the
queue view. If there is a print job, the printer will not delete until the
jobs have printed or are deleted from the queue.
