Search the shareware/freeware archives for some tools. e.g. http://downloads-zdnet.com.com/3120-20-0.html?qt=wipe&tg=dl-2001 For single worksheets I do not know what Excel leaves in memory after deleting a sheet. I would copy the relevant sheets to a new workbook
