Defrag question

If I do a complete back-up of a hard-drive that requires defragging and then
clean it off and then do a restore, will windows restore the drive with
fragmented files? IN other words, do I end up with a drive still requiring
a defrag. Thanks

No. When you make a copy/backup of the files, it doesn't remember the
unnecessary detail of the disk layout. The disk segments used for each
file is just housekeeping that the individual computer takes care of.
