Defrag not working, trying to run Ghost Backup

Defrag is not working, I'm trying to run Ghost Backup program and it is telling me that my computer is too fragmented. I can run the defrag; however, it will not defrag my entire hard drive

Any suggestions

Hi

How many times have you tried to use Defrag? It may be necessary to try
several times. Some files cannot be defragmented:

"Files That You Cannot Defragment"

I tried 5 or 6 times and get the same result

I'll try a few more but if you think of something, please let me know

Well, I ran it a few more times, it may actually be working but it will not defrag alot of my files

Is that normal? It is causing me a problem in trying to run Ghost to back up my system because Ghost tells me my system is too fragmented.

I have heard that a disk can become so fragmented that it is beyond the
capacities of some defraggers. I don't know if that's true, but one thing
to try if you have run out of patience with the native defragger is go to
www.raxco.com and download PerfectDisk Pro, free as a trial. It has the
best reputation for succeeding with hard to defragment disks. Once you
clean up the extreme defragmentation, if that's the situation, then maybe
the native defragger will be able to carry forward from week to week.

Try running Defrag in Safe Mode. Do you know what type of files are not
being defragmented?
