Defining keyboard shortcuts

S

Salman

I would like to define keyboard shortcuts for frequent
tasks i.e. minimizing windows, showing desktop etc. Can I
do this or is there a source I can refer to for existing
shortcuts?

Also is there a way to turn off the lame file details that
pop up below the highlighted file in a folder. It shows
useless info I dont' need while scrolling through
filenames in a folder.

Many thanks.

Hi,

Go thru this article which already contains plenty of shortcuts.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q126449/
Find keyboard shortcuts for leading Microsoft products that help save time
and effort and provide an essential tool for some people with dexterity
difficulties and impairments.
http://www.microsoft.com/enable/products/keyboard.aspx

If you would like to create your own shorcut go thru the article at
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;310417&sd=tech
//Its applicable for Windows 2000 also.

Thanks,
