Default Wrapping for Text Boxes and Objects

R

Ray

I had Word 97 on my old computer and anytime I opened a text fox or inserted
a picture, etc. the wrapping was automatically set to "Top and bottom" and
now on the new installation it is automatically set to "None." How do I set
this default?

Hi Ray - are you using a new version of Word? I have 2002 as part of Office
XP Pro and this is how it's done: Within Word go to Tools | Options | Edit.
About half way down on the left you'll see "Insert/paste pictures as" with a
drop down box underneath. Make your default choice and you're done.

No, it's not a new version. It is Word 97. I looked where you suggested,
but "Insert/paste pictures as" is not one of the options.
I'm still looking for a solution for Word 97. I know there is one since it
was behaving one way and now is behaving the other way.

Sorry about that Ray - I thought you had upgraded Word!! I used to use Word
97 but haven't for a while. I seem to remember right-clicking on the
graphic and choosing *Format Picture* then choosing *Layout*. I could be
wrong but I think what you choose there stays as default unless you change
it again. I hope this helps this time.
