I have Opera set to ask if it's not the default and when I say that I want
Opera to be the default, it is not set by Vista and MS IE remains as the
default.
How do I force Vista to allow Opera to be the default?

Hi Bill,

This is an XP group, but have you set IE to NOT check whether it's the
default? Otherwise, try elevating your privileges and Run As
Administrator and see if the settings will stick in Opera.

In XP it is Add/Remove Programs, Set Program access and Defaults. maybe
Vista the same, if not perhaps ask in a Vista group.

In Vista, click Start>Control Panel>Programs>Under Default Programs>Set your
default Programs
