Default text box properties

Hi,
I hope someone can help me out here.
When I add a text box to my slides, the indentations for bullets are
not picked up from my master slide. I have users that add text boxes to
their slides, often to capture images and drawings, and each user ends
up formatting bullet indents themselves.

Is there a way to set a default for this?

Thanks,

Steve

If you create one textbox formatted the way you want, then right-click it
and choose Set Autoshapes Default, it will do what you're after.

However, it will not keep settings for more than one level of bullets. If
you need that, then you need something like RnR ShapeStyles.

Also, after you right-click and set autoshapes default, you'll want to draw
a true autoshape (like a rectangle or oval), give it a line color and a fill
color, and right-click and select Set Autoshapes Default again. If you
don't, and depending on what your textbox default settings were, your
autoshapes might (will probably?) end up with no line and no fill, making
them invisible on your slides -- and thus forcing your users to manually add
a fill or line color each time they draw a shape.

So. Set Autoshapes Default on a textbox, and then Set Autoshapes Default on
an autoshape and you'll be in good shape.

Alternatively, train your users to use the placeholders or at least to copy
them and use that as the basis for their text.
