Default SavePictureAs File Type

Hi Folks

Whenever I right-click SavePictureAs for an image, I only get .bmp and 'untitled' as the filename. Yet when I select SaveTargetAs, and the target is a graphics file, the file name and file type come up. Any ideas how to set the SavePictureAs to pick up the filename and type, or at least something other than the default .bmp

Many Thanks

Keith

Go to IE > Tools > Internet Options, general tab and delete the
Temporary Internet Files, cookies and history.

Good luck

Roger, You're a STAR. That worked a treat. But do you have any idea why?

Cheers, Keith

You're very welcome, Keith :)
Glad to help.

This behavior may occur if a damaged program file (for example, an
ActiveX or Java object) is downloaded to the SystemRoot\Downloaded
Program Files folder on your hard disk.
