If the save button is selected from a file that originated from an
attachment, the software should ask for the user to specify a location OTHER
THAN the temporary OLK folder. Occasionally, one can forget that they are
working from a file that was origninated from an e-mail and will lose all of
their work when the shut down outlook because the temporary folder is gone!

1) Outlook can't control the default save folder of all the applications you
get documents for as attachment in Outloook.
2) No, this folder won't be deleted after closing of Outlook. You cannot
browse to it though; you must tye the address to the folder in the address
bar in Explorer.

Hello,

Why no? As the default location is %userprofile%\Local Settings\Temporary
Internet Files\OLK and you have set your folder view to classic, it is no
problem seeing the files in OLK folder.

True, but by default you get in the special view of TIF so typing goes
faster ;-)
