Default References

Hi everyone,

I want to know if there is a way that i can change the default references
that is loaded when a new project or database is created. I wan't to have
Access XP automatically include the DAO reference for every new project or
database. It is such a drag having to manually select the DAO reference every
time i start something new.

Two options:

1.) Upgrade to Access 2003; it includes a default reference to the Microsoft
DAO 3.6 Object Library, by default, for all new .mdb files.

2.) Create a "template" database that includes the DAO reference, and
perhaps a few forms or reports that you might use commonly. Make a copy of
this database each time you want to start a new database. You might also
disable Name Autocorrect in this template, since that's a pretty awful option
to have selected by default.

Thanks Tom,
Your reply was very quick and very helpfull. I created my template database
with a custom module that contains procedures that i use almost always.

I have Office 2003 at home but unfortunately at work we still have 2002 as
the standard.

Thanks again for the usefull response.
