BOB H.

hi,

i am really not a new user, but i have a simple enough question.

i have created for myself a document that i want it to be the default
document to open when i open a new document and not the standard
"normal.dot" that usually opens.

so how do i get the document that i created to become the default document
to open when i click on the new documant icon or file --> new....... i use
Word 2003.

thanks,
bob

Add a /t switch to the Word shortcut on your Windows desktop or
whatever you click on to start Word. See
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=210565 "How to use startup
command line switches to start Word 2007, Word 2003, Word 2002,
and Word 2000" for more information.

It really is only necessary to copy the template to your desktop. The
default result of double-clicking a template shortcut is to open a new
document based on the template. This will leave you with the choice of your
new template or the standard blank template.
