default mail client error

The error I received is: Either there is no default mail client or the
current mail client cannot fulfill the message request.

In the past I've had no problem. Now I do. Can anyone suggest how I fix
this? Thank you.
 
What were you working on at the time when the error occurred?

Also check to make sure that you have something specified as your default
e-mail client by going to Control Panel > Internet and Network Connections
(category view) > Internet Opions > Programs (tab). Select something
appropriate in the E-mail drop down list.

I have the same problem as Genex1. I have checked programs tab in IE and OE
and in both I have OE selected in email and newsgroup. How can I rid off this
error message. thanks
