default line style powerpoint 2007

I have couple of questions really pertaining to drawing in powerpoint.

I am trying to change the default line style in powerpoint 2007. Know how to
do it in earlier powerpoint not new one.

Is there any way to create the freeform tool so that if the end point is not
closed it will be an arrow on the end by default?

I am trying to create an object that consists of a set of lines that looks
like a T I am going to use many of those objects and was wondering if you
have any suggestions on how to best do that? Should I just produce a macro
that draws 2 lines and groups them together and then run it a bunch with a
short cut key to add them on each page? Can I save it as a shape and select
it and add it wherever I want?

Fipp,
The setting of the default line style has not changed, format a line the way
you want it to be, right-click and choose set as default. If you format a
line with an ending arrow, and set it as your default shape, freeforms will
also have an arrow as endpoint.
As to the second question, my understanding is that you cannot record
macro's anymore in Office 2007, you have to use VBA. Activate the developers
tab, Office button - PowerPoint options - popular section - check show
developers tab. Or go to the View tab on the ribbon and click on the Macro
button in the macro group. You will be presented with microsoft visual
basic.
So I guess if you have no knowledge of visual basic you will have to copy
and paste. But maybe someone else will have better suggestions.

I'd probably just make two shapes and group them together, then paste a copy
of that group on an extra slide at the beginning or end of the presentation.
Then I'd copy/paste it when I need it.

Alternatively, you can right-click the group and choose Save As Picture.
Choose EMF. Then you can use Insert | Picture to add it to a slide.

Or, turn on the Office Clipboard by hitting the dialog launcher in the
corner of the Clipboard group (on the Home tab). It holds up to 24 items,
but I don't think there's a way to "pin" objects to it. Regardless, it
should save you some time, as you can choose your group from that clipboard
pane.
