Default homepage is changing

My default homepage is constantly resetting to the
following link:
res://mshp.dll/index.html#10213
I have no idea what this link is or why it keeps taking
over my homepage. None of the links on it lead
anywhere. It has the look of a search page but does
nothing. I keep resetting my homepage to
www.usatoday.com but when I open multiple windows it
eventually resets to the above link.

Any ideas why this is happening?

I should have read your post first. I'm having the exact
same problem. My default home page is always being reset
to the exact same URL as yours. I've run spyware to see
if anything's lurking around, but that hasnt fixed it
yet. I'm still trying to get my anivirus software running
so havent tried that yet. Hopefully, we'll get an answer
soon. I'm concerned about what it is.

Good luck.

This is caused by a CoolWebSearch variant.
