Default Font Keeps Reverting

Hello All,

I have attempted to change my default font (the usual way: Format - Font -
change the font style/size - slecet Default and OK), but Word keeps changing
it back to Times New Roman every time I re-boot the computer.

Does anyone have the 'fix?'

Thanks!

The font change must be saved in Normal.dot and you may have something
installed (macros, add-ins) that tells Normal.dot that is has already been
saved.

Do you have Adobe Acrobat 7 installed? This could prevent Normal.dot from
being saved even if you made changes to it. See:
http://www.gmayor.com/lose_that_adobe_acrobat_toolbar.htm

If Adobe Acrobat 7 is not the problem, try whether the following solves the
problem:
You can force a save of Normal.dot immediately after you make the font
change: press and hold the Shift key while you select File > Save All. If a
dialog box opens, asking whether to save changes to Normal.dot, click Yes.

Hello Lene.

Interestingly enough, I do not have a Save All option under the File menu
(just Save and Save As), so I cannot use that tip. I shall explore the Adobe
connection further and let you know; stay tuned . . .

Thanks for all the information, Lene. Take care.

Did you press and hold the Shift key when selecting File? The Save All
command oly appears if Shift is pressed.
