default font in Word docs

how do I set the default font in Word so that it doesn't change when I hit
the enter key to start a new paragraph ? Our office uses Arial 10 pt as the
default font for all documents. In many Word docs (such as MasterSpec) when I
press the enter key to start a new paragraph, the font switches to Times New
Roman 9 pt, New York 12 pt, Sans Serif 11 pt or some other obscure font.
 
Sounds like you're using different styles and you will have to modify the
style to reflect the font you want.
