Have started using FP2003, mostly in code view.
Love the auto-complete of tags/attributes, split view, Quick Tag Selector,
and the clean HTML that did not seem possible in old versions.

Two newbie questions:
1. How do I specify a default folder to save new html files to?
I want to specify a path (local) instead of "My Web Sites".

2. Does FP have a built-in HTML validator, or do I still need to use
external software for that?

Thanks.

The default folder for saving a new HTML file is the root of the current Web
site.

You should always open a Web Site before creating or saving any files. To do
this, choose Open Site from the File menu, then specify the folder where the
development versikon of the site's files should reside.

As to HTML validation, you'll still need to use external software for that.
Keep in mind, however, that standards compliance is no guarantee of browser
compatability, and vice versa.

Is there a way to specify a default folder where a new html file will be
saved?

(In Word, it's Tools | Options | File Locations)

No.
