Default folder for 'save as' or 'Open'-How can I change this?

I wish to have to stop moving up and down through various folders when I
usually open or save to the same one. Please advise.

Go to the program that you wish to open a file in, Example WORD, go to Tools
and options and in there you can go to the tab locations (I Think) and in
there you can change the location to where or what folder opens when you
select the Save As button or Open file button.
