Default File location

Where can I go to set my "DEfault" file location to my network drive instead
of my local drive?
 
If you want to change the default file location for Excel, click Tools,
then Options, and go to the General tab.
 
I had been trying this before and it had given me an error message, so i
though there was some other place to change this. This worked this time
