Default E-Mail Program

I have a new computer that has Windows Mail installed. I've just loaded
Office Professional with Outlook 2007 with Business Contact Manager. I'm
still getting mail coming into Windows Mail. I went to the Set Default
Programs and requested Outlook 2007 set as the Default. Looking under
Windows Mail Set Program Assocations there are 3 choices: Extensions,
Protocols, and Start Menu. Only one is checked (Extensions .eml) for Windows
Mail.

If this is not the location to resolve my problem. What and where do I need
to be to stop receiving e-mail in Windows Mail?
