Hello,

I have attempted to defrag my WinXP serveral times and I keep getting the
message that the drive needs to be defraging again. I have ran the analyz
several times, and it says that some files can't be defrag. I have also ran
chkdsk everything appears to be ok. However do you advise.

What percentage of free space does the drive have?

some big files will never get fully defragged - just leave it - as defrag
doesn't matter much anyway these days

Make sure you have atleast 15% free space. The XP defragger doesnt
defrag the MFT and paging file i suppose. If its just a matter of
frequent fragmentation, you wud be better of scheduling an automatic
tool to defrag every night/week or so.
