Decrypting NTFS non-bootable drive

Has anyone had any luck restoring encrypted files from a
non-bootable NTFS drive, transferred to another PC (as a
slave)? I've tried a trial version of Advanced EFS
Recovery Pro. It found several keys and files but the
decryption process left me with partial files. I'm
hesitant to spend $100 on this software unless I can be
sure it's somewhat reliable. Most discussion groups I've
viewed indicate that I'm outta luck.

If you have access to the user profile folders for the user that encrypted the
files and you remember the password for that user, you might be able to save
the files. Take a look at this site:
