Debug vs Release Build

Hi All,

Is there any difference in memory usage or between a Debug Build and a
Release Build?

Also:
When does the GC run? I heard it only runs when there is essentially no
memory left. The OS on my PDA assigns disk space to memory but i dont see the
GC running.
