Dear PC Expert,

I'm trying to make an affordable and decent PC.
My budget is around $300.00.
I think AMD AthlonT XP 2500+ should be sufficient.

I have checked a few web stores and found this.

I'm not so sure it's a good motherboard or not. Please advise me on this.
I might put a small hard drive and a video card.
Can you recommend a video card?

Thank you.

That's a GREAT choice for a budget motherboard. You should be very happy
with it. For a budget video card, try the following. -Dave

Hi,
The M7NCD is a nice board for the money. I'm running on it now with a
2500 Barton that was built about 2 months ago. Very solid performer. The
only problem I see is buying it through TigerDirect. I'd get it from Newegg
if you'd like reliability and speed.

You may want to get it through Newegg. Nothing against Tiger, I have bought a
few things from them but would rather deal with Newegg.

Since you are on such a tight budget why not consider this board with onboard
video. It will save you a few bucks........
