Dead Power Supply or Blown Board?

Dear all,

I recently obtained a new ATX 2.03 PS, Chaintech Zenith mb, AMD Athlon 64 3200+ CPU and 1 gig RAM stick to upgrade my 'puter. Naturally, I installed everything as I'd done before, but it won't post. What's unusual is that a) the light in the onboard external ethernet port flashes once, b) none of the case LEDs come on (yes, I checked to make sure I had them right) and c) none of the fans come on (PS, video card, or CPU cooler--yes, the PS is set to 115V). Bizarre, no? Anyway, I'm not sure to a) return te PS as defective (no fans....but some juice is coming through--the ethernet port does flash, after all) or b) return the mb.

Any suggestions as to what is going on?

It's a "PowMax" PS....just a cheapy. Any suggestions?

do you still have your old PSU? try and use that it will then tell you if its the board or not
