I have 4 sticks of 512mb DDR 400 memory. This should equal 2GB in XP I am
only getting 1.50 gb of ram. I wondered why my bios said 1572864k.

If the BIOS is only registering 1.5 GB of RAM, then this is not a Windows XP
problem. Are you absolutely, positively sure that all four sticks are 512
MB each?

Because only 3 sticks are recognized by your bios, that's why.
