dcpromo question - 2K

Can I run dcpromo on a 2k box at my main site and then bring it to my remote
site and change the ip address. Should this cause any issues?

Or

Am I better off runnning dcpromo at the remote site.

I have a full T1 connecting the sites with not a lot of traffic.

Thanks
Marc

You can absolutely build the domain controller in your main site and ship it
out to the remote site, make sure you have the domain controller in place
and not offline longer than 60 days, since that will cause a big issue with
the tombstone life time that is 60 days.

Either's fine.

Doing the promotion on the remote end is less hassle. T1 is more than ample
;-)
