dcpromo fails with "Access is denied"

[Adam Getchell]

I'm running dcpromo on a Windows 2000 machine with my
account, which is a member of Enterprise Admins and
Schema Admins.

I have the results of dcdiag and netdiag at:

http://insecure.ucdavis.edu/Members/adam/dcpromo-error

If you want to look.

Since this is a split-horizon DNS setup, you probably
won't be able to resolve my domain from there (if you
can, I'd like to know).

A good way to tshoot dcpromo issues is by looking at the Dcpromo logs at
%SystemRoot%\Debug\Dcpromo.log

I saw this error one time when I accidentally deleted
system from the acl on the folder where the database was.
