DCPromo and DNS Problems

Hi All.
I've come to a point on my 2000 domain where I want to add
a DC. It is currently running in mixed mode with the NT
domain called MORGANGA. My new 2000 domain name is the
same, but the dns name is morganga.local. When trying to
run DCPROMO on a current Win2000 member server I'm getting
strange results that lead me to believe that I'm having
DNS problems. When the wizard asks for authenication, I
give it the admin account with the domain name MORGANGA
(it won't accept morganga.local). The next screen asks
for the dns name of the domain, I give it morganga.local,
and it tells me that a domain controler for that domain
does not exists. When I give it morganga, it tells me
that it finds morganga.local, is that what I meant? When
I say yes, the DCPromo stops with the error in the log
below.

I'm including my ipconfig info and my DCPromo.log file.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If you DNS server is an NT4 server you will have
problems. You need either a w2k DNS or bind 8.1. The way
I see it you have/want 2 domains with the same name. Try
renaming the w2k domain differently.

Which machine is this ipconfig for? Is it the one your trying to add?
