DCOM event error 10005: iPod

P

Pam

The following error occurs frequently. I use iTunes, but I uninstalled the
iPod portion of the software through Add/Remove programs. I also disabled
the iPod service under Services. How do I resolve this? I have searched
Apple support as well as Microsoft and I cannot find an answer. Does it
really matter? I found it because I was looking for reasons for slow
shutdown and occasional hangs (I am been reading Kelly's Korner, too.)

Windows XP Pro with all critical updates, etc., installed except:
KB829558 Update for Jet 4.0 Service Pack 8
Windows Error Reporting: Recommended Update
Microsoft Windows Journal Viewer
Windows Messenger 4.7
Microsoft .NET Framework version 1.1
