I had to replace the motherboard on my PC. They assured
me I wouldn't lose anything.

I use XP
I lost my favourites and don't know how to retrieve them.

But the most annoying thing I did was when I was
recovering my emails. I use OE.
I opened them with a wrong program and can't retrieve
them now.
Does anyone know how to change them back to a DBX file or
how to retrieve them.

Thanks

Kathy

Hi Kathy,

Do a search for *.dbx, and save all you want, and be sure to include "Folders.dbx". You can put them in a folder called Mail on your desktop or anywhere you like. Go import all the files in that folder. Piece-a-cake.

If you know the folders names and are sure they are the particular files, you can rename them and use the extension .dbx. Should be okay, unless you did something real off the wall.

Hi Don,

Thanks for the help.
I tried it and it didn't work.
I did do something off the wall. I clicked the program
internet explorer by mistake when I went to open them. I
thought I had a different program I wanted it opened
with.
I've tried to reopen them by searching other programs and
going through OE, but nothing happens.
Any thoughts, tips, anything greatly appreciated.
I suspect you will say I'm HOOPED.

Kathy
