DB interface wizard in FP 2003

R

Ray

I set up a few database pages using the wizard in FP2003.
The PC side of it all worked fine, but I've uploaded the
stuff to my web page and I get a message something
like "DB wizard failed, contact ISP if this continues to
happen".
I'm sorry that I can't be more specific but I'm not at my
home PC at present and the web address it creates is so
long I can't quite recall it. But does anybody have any
ideas what the problem is. If, as it hints, the problem is
with my ISP, any ideas what the specific problem is. I am
told the site is set up for FP extensions, or whatever
they are called in 2003.

Are you publishing to a Windows server that supports ASP? What the URL? Does
this error message occur during publishing or when you browser your live
web?

Dear Spiderwoman
Yes, I am told that server supports ASP. Unfortunately I
cannot recall the URL because it's so long. When I get
back tonight I'll let you know. But the error occurs when
I try to browse my live web.

Open the fpdbrgn1.inc file (hidden folder) and set

fp_DEBUG = true

Reopen the DRW page to see a truer error

OK - I now get:
Database Results Wizard Error
Description: Syntax error in query. Incomplete query
clause.
Number: -2147217900 (0x80040E14)
Source: Microsoft JET Database Engine

In the source code of the asp page, youll find a red line starting with
fp_sQry = ......

What does it say?
