Days of the week on X axis

I need to have the days of the week show up on the X axis.
I have the days entered into the range, but they always
show up as dates, no matter how I try to format?

To format the dates on the axis:

1. Select the axis
2. Choose Format>Selected Axis
3. On the Number tab, choose Custom category
4. In the text box, type: ddd
for a 3-letter day
or dddd for a full day name
5. Click OK
