day names

When I look at my calender, It shows the date February 19, but it does not
show the day name Thursday when I view one or more days. The day of week only
shows in full month view, not single day, work week or week view.

What happened? I know they used to show up!

Unfortunately this doesn't help. The long form date option are only two.
Month/day year and day/month/year. There doesn't seem to be an option for day
of week.

Sure there is, but it may not be in the drop-down. You're not limited to
what's available in the drop-down. You can type in that field. "dddd" is
the symbol that tells Windows to include the day of the week spelled out.
Is you want to see "Monday, February 23, 2009", then type "dddd, MMMM dd,
yyyy" (without the quotes) into the Long date format field. See this:
