Dates from Worksheet won't appear in Category Axis

I know I have just drawn a blank but I am getting no where with my memory

Just doing a simple column chart with dates and dollar amounts. My Y axis is fine by I am not getting my actual worksheet dates shown on the charts X asis.

What in the heck have I done....please
