Dates before 1900????

I am doing a project that requires me to enter dates before 1900 (in fact,
from all over the place in history; from flood era...all the way to the
present.) How may I do this using Excel to fill down older dates that 1900,
or in my MAC puter, 1904????? I appreciate any ideas on this.

John Walkenbach's extended date functions allow dates and date
calculations from 400 CE to 9999 CE:

Extended Date Functions
An add-in that provides a set of worksheet functions that enable you
to work with dates prior to the year 1900

But if you're going before that then the best approach will be to
enter dates as text. Calculations with those dates will then need to
be parsed.
