How to acheive difference between cell A2 & A1 in hours?

=a2-a1
and give this cell a custom format of:
[hh]
or
[hh]:mm
or
[hh]:mm:ss
or whatever you like.
 
Assuming you want hours as a floating point number...

=24*(A2-A1)
