Hi,

Can you help?????

When I insert 30:00 hrs it is showing as 06:00, when I check the cell
it actually showing as 01/01/1900 06:00. I have formatted the cell
to show hh:mm but still no luck.

Thanks in advance.

Format it

[h]:mm

30-24 = 6, and it is showing as 6 o'clock for the next day in the default
time format.

You need to apply a custom format to the cell - [hh]:mm

The square brackets around the hh tells Excel not to wrap the hours
above 24.

Hope this helps.

change you number format code to [h]:mm
hh will give the hours in one day (mod(total hours,24))
[h] will give total hours
