i have built a database using access 2000 on a PC with
Windows 98.
Now when i run this same database using Access 2000 on a
PC with Windows XP operating system,
any where i have used the date funcion Date() to insert
the current date it returns #Name?
Also when i tried to insert current date in a form by goin
to INSERT then DATE it still gives the same results.
I have tried this on more than one pc running access 2000
and windows xp

any where i have used the date funcion Date() to insert
the current date it returns #Name?

This appears to be the very common References bug. Open any
module in design view, or open the VBA editor by typing
Ctrl-G. Select Tools... References from the menu. One of the
..DLL files required by Access will probably be marked
MISSING. Uncheck it, recheck it, close and open Access.

If none are MISSING, check any reference; close and open
Access; then uncheck it again. This will force Access to
relink the libraries.
