P Pete_UK Jan 16, 2009 #2 You can apply a custom format of: mmm yy to the cell. Alternatively, pre-format the cell as Text, or enter as 'Sep 08 - the apostrophe tells Excel to treat the entry as text, but it will not show in the cell. Hope this helps. Pete
