Date format change

I am importing a tab delimited file and the date imports as m/d/yyyy format.
I need to setup a macro to convert this column to yymmdd. Later I need to
add the century in front so that it is in a format of ccyymmdd. Can you
help?

I may have jumped the gun here. looks like if I format as mdyy first and
then go back and format as yymmdd it works. Now I just need to add the
century in front ccyymmdd.
