Date entry in networked computers

Hi all,

This is probably not the right place to ask this question, but you ar
all so incredibly helpful, I'll give it a go.

I have a large amount of data which needs to be entered in a workboo
as quickly as possible. If I have 2 or 3 computers networked, is i
possible for each computer to have the same file open at the same time
with a number of operators entering data? If so, will the data entere
via computer 1 (say) show up in the workbook which is open on compute
2? Or will the users need to take some action to update/refresh th
file they have open?

Hi
Excel has a feature called 'shared workbooks'. Have a look at the Excel
help for the restrictions in this shared mode.
I'd recommend not to use this feature (I have experienced many problems
using this functionality).
For this kind of application I'd use a database (e.g. MS Access). You
can link Excel to this database and create your reports in Excel
