Date Conversion

I've converted an old database into an Excel spreadsheet and have about 5
columns containing hundreds of rows of dates. The dates were converted to a
"General" format. There are a mixture of 1 and 2 digit month and day formats.
All the years are 4 digit. (332001, 9111999, etc.). How can I convert these
numbers to a DATE format (mmddyyy)?

In order to give you a good answer, you need to let us know how to
resolve ambiguity in your data.

Is

1232001

3 December 2001 or 23 January 2001?

Can you re-import your data, and this time tell Excel to format it as date,
indicating what the format is? That'd be by far the fastest and least
error-prone approach
