How can i address the problem of date codes:

so that 5/6/04 can be correctly entered as either 5th of june, or th
6th of may depending from where the date emanated

It is dependant on the regional setting of the computer, a UK entered date
like 25/04/2004 will
convert to 04/25/2004 on a US regional setting, Of course if the dates are
text it won't work

You can make a date format that would DISPLAY as 6th of May, but you would still have to ENTER it into the cell in a Standard date format, such as 5/6/04

Select the cell(s) you expect to contain dates and go to Format|Cells, Number tab. Click Custom and enter the follwing Format: d"th of "mm
