Date Check Box

Hi There,
Is it possible to create a “Date Check Box†in FrontPage 2002, or do I need
to find a copy of 2003? I would like to offer visitors to my website the
facility to check my availability on any given day.

I don't know what you mean by "date check box" but FP2003 won't help
either - certainly it doesn't have a specific, "out of the box" solution for
what you want to do.

What you could do, is set up the database results wizard, connected to an
Access Database; you set up the Database in Access, but your viewers will be
able to get the results from it through the web page (ASP page). Go to
Frontpage Help for assistance with the Results Wizard.

The user would search the date they want the information on, and it would
return the record with the information you've previously put in the DB.

For DB maintenance, you can do it online through the Database Interface
Wizard, or off line through MS access, and just republish the *.mdb file to
the /fpdb folder on the web server, each time you've made updates; updated
at an interval of your choosing.

That is a relatively simple solution (but note, it requires ASP/Windows
Server), but if you're after an "appointment calendar" type thing, then
maybe a specific solution of that type would be better.

Try www.hotscripts.com for such applications (this site is one of
thousands....you may need to do a bit of research)

First though, check with your host to see what they offer in terms of server
side scripting e.g. ASP, ASPX .Net, PHP, Perl etc.
