date and time

hello I use excel 2003 and i seem to be having a proble with the date and
time, the spreadsheet i am working with is formatted to automatically
calculate delays due to loss of time if i input the date and time as
13/08/2007 01:25 it will auto matically change to 13/8/2007 1:25 which is
correct.. but for some cells the change is not made an i end up with a value
###### can you please tell me why this is happening.

Either you have not widened the column enough to show everything or your
calculation of time is arriving at a negative date (which realistically
cannot be shown by Excel, except in 1904 date setting)

To format so the zero appears on all, highlight the data and go to
Format>Cells...Custom and enter dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm (or if the hours go over 24
dd/mm/yyyy [hh]:mm)

The width of the column is not the issue it is one of the first things that I
checked,I will attempt from the perspective as suggested and hope that this
works.....thanks
