Hi All,

Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 - fully patched.

Time is running slow. Anyway, attempting to Sync with

time.windows.com - An error occurred while Windows was sychronizing with
time.windows.com. The time sample was rejected because: The peer's stratum
is less than the host's stratum.

time.nist.gov - An error occurred while Windows was synchronizing with
time.nist.gov.

Any ideas?

It's
time-a.nist.gov
or
time-b.nist.gov

John, I had a similar problem with the time, and I was told that I needed to
change the Bios. Either HP or Windows has a document that will walk you
through it. It's worth looking into if you have not already fixed the
problem. Good luck. jah

lots of people complaining about the time servers lately.
there is a drop down list with the names of different servers. might try a different ones till you find one that works again.
